‘We are not celebrating 75 years of Wroclaw. Our city is much older and it would be sheer madness to cut off from its history and roots,’ said Jacek Sutryk, Mayor of Wroclaw, during the inauguration of the celebration. ‘We have celebrated 75 years since the end of the war. 75 years of the post-war city.
“Domesticated” and restored by our grandfathers, developed by our parents and loved by all of us who live in Wroclaw.
Mayor Jacek Sutryk always stresses respect for the entire heritage of the history of Wroclaw connected with its multiculturalism and diversity. This history is an inspiration to pay special attention to multicultural dialogue, which has always been so important to Wroclaw. Therefore, among well-known persons sending wishes to us – the inhabitants of Wroclaw – there will be representatives of many nations and cultures.
Respecting and maintaining its over 1,000-year-old tradition, Wroclaw constantly looks ahead towards the future. In accordance with its mission, it wants to be a wise, beautiful and rich city – a city that unites and inspires.
