Wroclaw's Luxoft seeks new employees

Luxoft, one of the leading global IT services providers, has just announced to continue dynamic recruitment processes in Wroclaw in 2016. On Friday 22 January, Luxoft opened three new floors of office space at the Silver Tower Center. The new facility will have provided employment for 245 IT specialists by the end of 2016.

Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Luxoft is a global IT services provider specialising in software for leading global financial institutions. The company employs over 10 thousand people in 30 locations worldwide. While Luxoft has been present in Wroclaw since 2012, its IT specialists cooperate with clients representing international finance, including investment banking, risk management, mobile app development or data exchange systems. The company also operates in Kraków and Gdańsk.

The previous year has turned out to be the most dynamic period for Luxoft in Wroclaw. Since 2015, the centre's personnel have grown threefold, from 150 to 500 specialists. External specialists acknowledge the impact the company has made. According to the Computerworld TOP200 ranking, Luxoft is now one of the most rapidly developing IT companies in Poland, while Luxoft's Wroclaw Regional Director has been nominated for the Man of the Year 2015 in Business.

"We're going to keep the pace. We are constantly adding new challenging projects to our global portfolio. We are offering more than just good money. Our specialists are part of the global network that offers massive career opportunities and a chance of promotion for in Poland and internationally. We are striving to keep our start-up spirit while preserving the edge characteristic of large organisations. We are supporting our people's ideas, organise informal meetings for the IT sector in Wroclaw, which are called LoGeek Night, or initiate unusual CSR actions such as the Wroclaw Business Run," says Bartosz Strożek, Luxoft Regional Director for Wroclaw.

245 new jobs for IT specialists

With the number of personnel on the rise, the company is also extending its premises at the Silver Tower Center. Luxoft is launching three new floors (11th,12th and 13th) that offer a scenic view of Wroclaw and add to the company's overall office space of 4,300 sqm.

"These three new floors of ours are going to provide 245 new jobs for our specialists. Desirably, the project will have come to a close by the end of 2016. Our new premises have a conference hall and a group work room, but there are also a lounge and spacious, fully equipped kitchens. Modernly equipped and vibrant, the rooms are conducive to creativity," says Ewelina Stępniewska, Employer Branding and Marketing Specialist at Wroclaw's Luxoft.

Luxoft is also present at two other premises in Wroclaw, their first over office space in Wroclaw at the Heritage Gates building (ul Rzeźnicza) and at the Green Day building (ul Szczytnicka), when they moved in last year in July..

Specialists wanted, Wroclaw like a magnet

Luxoft primarily employs experienced IT specialists, including Java developers as well as project managers and managers. They also seek QA specialists, technical support engineers and business analysts. Bartosz Strożek argues that Wroclaw remains an attractive destination despite competition for new personnel on local and nationwide markets.

"With the presence of largest global IT brands in Lower Silesia, our region is now considered one of Poland's leading technology hubs, together with Warsaw and Kraków. This is also reflected in the statistics. Hay Group has just published a report which indicates that remuneration offered by the IT sector in Wroclaw is only slightly lower than that in Warsaw. What is more, the Wroclaw branch is in the lead in terms of salary rises planned for this year. It must be added that Wroclaw is now the third location for modern BPO services in Poland with regard to the number of employees, a large proportion of which being IT specialists," says Bartosz Strożek.
