Kopalnia Wroclaw is a new place on the recreation map of Wroclaw agglomeration. It is an old sand quarry, located on the outskirts of Wroclaw, near the road to Oborniki Slaskie, next to the village Paniowice. It is located in an extremely ecologically clean, protected area Nature 2000 - the Widawa Valley.
'Our centre is not just the beautiful beach,' says Maciej Domagala, CEO of Kopalnia Wroclaw. 'We also want to provide our guests with many opportunities for active recreation. Here, they will have the opportunity to practice beach volleyball, Frisbee, go canoeing or pedalling, or take part in dance classes. There will also be something for enthusiasts of high culture. We have planned a number of theatre productions, outdoor film screenings and cabaret performances. On the other hand, major sporting events will be available in a specially prepared fan zone. We also thought about the young people; in Kopalnia Wroclaw they will have the opportunity to dance and listen to good club music from dusk until dawn.
Jobs for eighty people
Kopalnia Wroclaw has just started recruiting. Waiters, bartenders, kitchen porters/maids, as well as sports and recreation staff and cashiers are needed. Organizers predict that approx. eighty people will find jobs there. Although Kopalnia Wroclaw opens on July 1, 2016, everyone will be employed even since mid-June.
'We are looking for people who want to work in a relaxed, holiday-like atmosphere,' says Maciej Domagała. 'We welcome people who are open, who have a cheerful disposition, and are full of enthusiasm. Experience in a given position counts, but students on their summer holiday during the time of our centre's period of activity, will also have a good chance.
Dedicated public transport
From the centre's opening day, special public transport lines will be made available from the centre of Wroclaw and its largest residential areas. This will make it much easier for not only guests, but also the staff, to reach Kopalnia Wroclaw.
