The programme "Focus on Your Development" is yet another attempt to attract 2 thousand full-time and additional 3 thousand part-time workers in the hot Christmas in Amazon's logistics centres in and around Wroclaw.
The programme provides funding for professional development in those industries that are in particular demand at the moment. It will promote: accounting, health service, health and safety, transport, logistics, IT, sales, services and office work, English courses and computer literacy for both beginners and the advanced. Amazon has promised to cover the costs of education up to 6500 PLN net annually over the course of four years.
"We wish to help our workers to plan their development in the future," says Kerry Person, Amazon's Director of Operations for Central and Eastern Europe. "A job with Amazon may be also a springboard to a future career in other industries. We want to help our workers to make a good choice and achieve their goals accordingly."
Amazon also strives to encourage new candidates with private health care, life insurance, warm meals available every day for just 1 PLN at the company canteen and transport free of charge. Amazon has recently come up with another benefit for its employees: 26 days of paid leave regardless of the years of service.
The recruitment process to new Amazon centres in Poland is now under way.
