Michael Martin

Michael Martin is a Senior Researcher at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and Professor/Docent of Sustainable Production and Consumption Systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His research explores how cities can develop more sustainable, resilient, and circular food systems, with a focus on urban agriculture, vertical farming, urban symbiosis, and public procurement. He leads the Sustainable Urban Food Lab at IVL and KTH and works with the FAO on the sustainability of food systems.
