Microentrepreneur of the Year is a competition aimed at awarding the owners of enterprises successfully running a traditional or modern business, rooted in local communities. In 2015, for the 11th time it was held for businesses that employ less than 10 employees, whose annual turnover or total annual balance does not exceed 2 million EUR.
"This year's eleventh edition of the competition perfectly illustrates the potential of Polish micro-enterprises. Each of this year's winners uses innovative technologies in its operations, often creating innovative solutions. Each year, choosing the winners becomes more and more challenging, both in terms of the number of applications sent, as well as their uniqueness" says Krzysztof Kaczmar, CEO of the Kronenberg Foundation with Citi Handlowy. This year, the competition attracted a record number of more than 500 microenterprises from across the Polish.
Among the winners of the eleventh edition of the Microentrepreneur of the Year 2015 in the category Progress is a company Zięta Prozessdesign from Wroclaw.
Founded by Oskar Zięta, the design-engineering studio Zieta Prozessdesign is an interdisciplinary team consisting of architects, designers, engineers and technologists.
The company specializes in designing and manufacturing interior design elements, such as furniture and decorations. In their work they use a technology referred to as "thin sheets stabilization." It is a very innovative solution that allows the lightweight and interestingly shaped items retain a very high durability. Products offered by the Zięta Prozessdesign team are appreciated worldwide by the design and interior design circles as well as the customers. The design activity of Zięta Prozessdesign was repeatedly awarded with the most important awards in the field of design, including the Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland Award, the Red Dot and the Audi Mentor Preis, nominated for the Schweizer Design Preis. Zięta Prozessdesign has cooperated with brands such as: Audi, Architonic, Ballantine’s, Pirelli, Victoria & Albert Museum.
