We saw this in the attitude of the Residents, who focused not only on securing their own homes or neighbourhoods but also, just like years ago, rushed in large numbers to places like the Cathedral Island to protect this beautiful, historic part of Wrocław from danger.
And safe it remained. As did all the other magnetic corners of Wrocław, where architectural charm blends with the openness and kindness of the hosts of the meeting place.
We remain open to visitors and invite everyone to visit Wrocław - the gateway to Lower Silesia. We would like you to encourage your friends to come and enjoy Wrocław’s tourist attractions, cultural events, culinary delights... all those things that are hard to put into words but make Wrocław a unique place.
I have decided that Wrocław will join a program to help children from areas particularly affected by the flood through organisation of "green schools."
We want to provide a relief for the youngest, and for their parents, to create time to arrange everything that is most needed after the disaster.
Tourism is also a source of hope and joy for those that you will visit. We invite you to Lower Silesia. We invite you to Wrocław!
