The aim of joining the Vistula College Group is, first of all, strengthening the school's educational potential. The Group members are: "Akademia Finansów i Biznesu Vistula" ("Vistula University"), "Szkoła Główna Turystyki i Rekreacji" ("Warsaw School of Tourism and Hospitality Management") and Polish Open University, operating in Warsaw and Krakow.
"We are creating a renowned centre, educating the personnel for international business" says Irena Tomys, PhD, the rector of University of Business in Wrocław. "Accessing Vistula Group is a way to strengthen our academic staff. We would like the degree from UBW to become a prestigious document and to open doors for professional career.
One of the priority tasks is to draw foreigners to studying in Wrocław. This is a way to reduce the consequences of the demographic decline, experienced most painfully by private colleges, which collect fees. According to estimates, by 2020 the number of admissions available on state universities will be equal to the number of high school graduates. That's why private colleges need to seek foreign candidates.
"Starting from the new academic year, the college will launch studies in English, available for Polish students, as well as foreigners from along both eastern and western borders" announce the management of University of Business in Wrocław.
