House at Kołłątaja 32

Built in Neo-Renaissance style in 1873, the tenement house underwent the renovation of façades and the roof a few years ago. In 2021, its porch and staircase were renovated. The subsidy from the CHPO totalled 72,417 PLN.

The tenement house was designed by Carl Schmidt, responsible for the reconstruction of the building of the current Wroclaw Opera. From 1946 till the 1950s, the Odra Cinema functioned here. Today the building contains apartments and commercial premises.

Kołłataja

Mezotenowiec – Kołłątaja 9/10 and 11/12

In 2021, one of the most interesting buildings of Wroclaw modernism also underwent further two stages of renovation works. Mezotenowiec at ul. Kołłątaja is renovated by two housing associations. The first one (ul. Kołłątaja 9/10) completed the renovation of the back façade last year. The subsidy from the CHPO totalled 1,550,006 PLN.

The second one (Kołłątaja 11/12) renovated the front façade and the top façade. The subsidy from the CHPO totalled 1,532,017.20 PLN. Works have been carried on successively for a few years. Altogether, both associations have managed to acquire municipal subsidies of 5.8 million PLN for the renovation of the building so far.

Some plans were verified by the building market

Initially, renovations were also planned at ul. Norwida 22 (façade) and Kościuszki 51 (porch and staircase). However, the associations did not manage to select contractors and had to terminate financial aid agreements with the CHPO.

Renovations of houses also from municipal resources

In 2021, the city set aside further 5.5 million PLN for renovations of houses from the commune’s municipal resources. Renovations were carried out, e.g., in buildings at ul. Prądzyńskiego 30, Chudoby 13 and 14 and ul. Dworcowa 5 B and C.
