The Brave Festival is inviting you to join in developing the green fabric of the city. A new 10-hectare forest at Świniary is going to improve the quality of life in the city. A two-day action called "Let's Plant a Forest!" will be carried out by volunteers from Google, UPS, HPE, HP, Drukarnia KEA, Credit Suisse and Castorama, as well as Brave Kids host families and their guests.
"Green Wroclaw is part of our identity. We have to protect the trees. No one will do this for us. We must realise that we own the reality around us," says Paulina Anna Galanciak, the action's organiser.
The action will be accompanied by environmental workshops for adults and children organised by Fundacja Ekorozwoju and the Śnieżka Forest District Office, and a competition for the best name for a sapling. The winner will be presented with a ticket to selected events organised as part of the Brave Festival 2016.
The action starts on 2 April at 11am (assembly point by the Pęgowski Bridge). If you have an additional pair of gloves or a spade please remember to take them with you.
