How to reduce menstruation poverty in Poland
Pink boxes in Wroclaw educational institutions are an initiative of a group of activists acting under the name ‘Pink Box’, who promote the idea of reducing menstruation poverty in Poland. The initiative was launched in Wroclaw, and its organisers are Adrianna Klimaszewska, Bożena Powaga and Lucyna Cwiach. The campaign supported by the city is aimed at increasing the availability of hygiene products necessary during menstruation. The lack of easy access to these products is a serious obstacle to the daily functioning of women and girls. It affects particularly schoolgirls, who are often forced to resign from schoolwork.
Until today, the campaign has been joined by:
- 19 primary schools,
- 7 secondary schools.
These institutions will use grant support.
