On Saturday 9th July, the Resolution no. XXVI/553/16 amending the rules of parking in the paid city parking zone comes into force. It exempts drivers from parking fees on Saturdays, which means that parking fees will be applicable from 9th July only on weekdays, from Monday till Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m, and fees will not be collected on weekends.
This obviously refers only to the paid city parking zone (see map), and these rules do not apply to commercial multi-storey car parks and car parks located in private areas.
The zone operator is already making arrangements for the change by changing parking meter settings and boards with information about fees.
