First attendance records were established only three weeks after the official opening of the Africarium at Wroclaw Zoo. Today, just after 12 am, one-hundred thousandth ticket was purchased (One should remember that the Africarium was launched on 26 October, at 9 am).
Ms Aldona Majka-Zmudzińska has turned out to be a lucky buyer. It was her first time at the Africarium, and she came there with her three children: Natalia (11), Robert (6) and Adaś (1). Since she bought the lucky ticket, Ms Majka-Zmudzińska received presents for her children and an annual pass for the entire family. "My children and I came here last weekend, but we gave up when we saw the queues. I'm so happy now! I am also surprised, I haven't expected it at all. The annual pass will certainly come in handy because we tend to visit the Zoo from time to time, and now we can do it more often," says Ms Majka-Zmudzińska.
The Africarium at Wroclaw Zoo is the only oceanarium in the world devoted exclusively to Africa's wildlife. On average, the site attracts 2.5 thousand people each day from Monday to Friday. People virtually flock to the Africarium at weekends and on bank holidays.
