Nursery schools to modernise in 2015

Data publikacji: Autor:

Four state-owned nursery schools are expected to be modernised or revamped in the near future. In 2015, the City Office will launch two new investments, complete the modernisation of one nursery and begin preparations to revamp yet another. The goal is to modernise the schools and make them more convenient. They will also be fitted out with surveillance cameras to improve safety.

The City Office has allocated over 4 million PLN in its Long-Term Investment Plan. The City Office is planning to renovate four schools this year:

  • Nursery School No. 10 in ul. H. Brodatego,
  • Nursery School No. 3 in ul. Białowieska,
  • Nursery School No. 6 in ul. Krowia
  • Nursery School No. 12 in ul. Jugosłowiańska

The work will start with the completion of the renovation process at Nursery School No. 10, which began in July 2014. The building is going to be accepted in mid-March, and the children should return at the premises at the beginning of April. Erected in the 1960s, the building has been fitted out with new ceilings and had pipework, sewage and wiring replaced. Thorough renovation work has been conducted in the toilets, and the floor plan has been modified to make the building more convenient and friendly for its baby users. The premises are now also compliant with new fire regulations. The area around the school, including the playground, has been rearranged. Surveillance cameras have been mounted inside the school and in its immediate surroundings.

Renovation work at Nursery School No. 6 in ul. Krowia is expected to begin in July. This year, the builders will be revamping catering areas, including the kitchen and the cellar, where a new freight lift is going to be installed. It is sanitary inspectors who have decided that the school needs renovation. The work is expected to take two or three months, and the children should return at the premises at the beginning of October. The years and stages that follow will bring change in other parts of the building.

Renovation work at Nursery School No. 3 in ul. Białowieska is also scheduled for July. The premises need general renovation. All installations are going to be replaced and a number of rooms are going to be revamped as well, including the kitchen, where a new freight lift and a grease trap will be installed, and the toilets and the corridors. The floor plan is also to undergo change to make the premises more convenient for their baby users. The building will also be insulated and painted afresh. The surrounding area will also be rearranged, which includes new fencing, a new playground and a new access way for cars and pedestrians. Surveillance cameras will also be mounted in the building. The work is expected to come to a close in March 2016.

Preparations are being made for an investment to renovate Nursery School No. 12 in ul. Jugosłowiańska. The general renovation in ul. Jugosłowiańska is wide in scope and proves similar to that in ul. Białowieska. The builders are expected to enter the premises in the summer of 2016. Nursery No. 12 will be provided with a new elevation.

Children will be provided access to other schools while the work is being carried out.
