The most important part of works will be the replacement of all turnouts and rails in the middle of the intersection, at the point where tracks intersect. The tracks will be provided with a drainage system. A new even asphalt surface will be made at the intersection.
Plac Jana Pawła II is undoubtedly one of the biggest intersections in the city. Three tram lines usually reach the square from Sikorskiego Bridge. Seven others reach it along ul. Legnicka – the main arterial road running from the western part of the city. It is planned that track workers will appear on Plac Jana Pawła II in September.
