Information for football fans – on the day of the Conference League final: stadium, how to get there, broadcasts

Real Betis will play against Chelsea FC in the UEFA Conference League final on 28th May in Wroclaw, Poland. The Conference League final on Wednesday 28th May in Wroclaw, Poland – here you will find practical information before the match between Real Betiis Balompie (Seville, Spain) and Chelsea FC (London, England).

Chelsea – the road to the final

  •     1st place in the league phase with all six matches won against: Gent, Panathinaikos, Noah, Heidemheim, FC Astana and Shamrock Rovers.
  •     In the play-off phase, they defeated FC Copenhagen, Legia Warsaw and Djurgarden IF in two-legged ties.
  •     In all matches: 38 goals scored and nine goals lost.

Key players: Cole Palmer, Reece James, Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson, and Enzo Fernandez.

Coach: Enzo Maresca.

Betis – the road to the final

  •     15th place in the league phase with 3 wins (Petrocub, HJK and Celje), 1 draw (FC Copenhagen) and 2 losses (Mlada Boleslav and Legia Warsaw).
  •     In the play-off phase, they defeated in two-legged ties: Gent, Vitoria Guimaraes, Jagiellonia Białystok and AC Fiorentina (after extra time).
  •     In all matches: 22 goals scored and 12 goals lost.

Entrances: the northern gate from Królewiecka Street (red – for Betis fans and others with tickets marked in red) and the southern gate from Lotnicza Street (blue – for Chelsea fans and others with tickets marked in blue).

Sectors for fans with tickets purchased through Betis: corner stand behind the goal from the north.

  •     car parks: closed.
  •     opening the gates: 6:00 p.m.
  •     opening ceremony before the match: 8:45 p.m.
  •     start of the game: 9:00 p.m.

Most important stadium rules: no luggage larger than A4 size may be brought in, Poles need to have an identity document (preferably an ID card), there will be no alcohol on sale, no smoking or use of e-cigarettes, etc., no bottles, umbrellas, cameras or other items from the list available on UEFA official website.

How to get to the Wroclaw Stadium

Access to the stadium from the Wrocław Główny train station and the bus station:

  •     from the Peronowa stop by trams 18 marked in red,
  •     from the Stawowa stop by trams 21 marked in red,
  •     from the Piłsudskiego stop by trams 22 marked in blue,
  •     trains of the Lower Silesian Railways from the Wrocław Główny station to the Wrocław Stadion station (about 10–12 minutes – the fastest option).

Access to the stadium from the city centre:

  •     from the Jana Pawła II Square by trams 12, 19, 21 and S1 or buses 102, 103, 127 and S1 – marked in red,
  •     from the Orląt Lwowskich Square by trams 20, 22 and S2 or buses S2 – marked in blue.
  •     from the Zamkowa stop (at Kazimierza Wielkiego Street) on trams 3 and 10 – marked in blue.

If you choose a tram or bus marked with the colour of your ticket, you will get off closer to the correct entrance gate to the stadium: red (northern gate) or blue (southern gate).

Access to the stadium from the airport (Wroclaw Airport): by shuttle bus, which will run from 3:00 p.m. with a frequency of 15 minutes.

Access from the airport (Wroclaw Airport) to the city centre: city bus 106 or night bus 206.

Getting to the stadium or the centre by car: strongly discouraged, due to the risk of getting stuck in traffic.

  •     Streets near the stadium will be completely or partially closed.
  •     The car parks at the stadium are closed.
  •     Alternatively: leave your car in one of the city's Park & Ride car parks that are free on match day and change to a tram or bus.

Pre-match fan zones

  1.     on the premises of the Parasol Wroclaw club at 62 Lotnicza Street – for fans with blue tickets (open 28th May from 11:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m.),
  2.     in the green areas at Królewiecka Street – for fans with red tickets (28th May from 11:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m.).

Return from the stadium after the match

From 11:00 p.m.:

  •     from Królewiecka Street – by trams or buses S1 and night buses 245 – marked in red,
  •     from Lotnicza Street – by trams or buses S2 and night buses 243 and 253 – marked in blue,
  •     trains of the Lower Silesian Railways from the Wrocław Stadion station to the Wrocław Główny station (there will be four such special trains).

Publicly accessible fan zones in the city centre

For people without tickets and with tickets:

    Market Square (Gołębi Square) – Fan Festival – 27th May, 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., with an opening show at 11:00 a.m. | 28th May, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

    Wolności Square – 28th May from 12:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m. – broadcast of the final on the big screen.
