  3. How to get to school or work: check tram and bus routes

Before getting into a public transport bus or tram, check its route. In Wroclaw, intense tram trackage repairs are still under way, and new investments are in progress. This means that not all trams run on their normal routes. From 13th November, Plac Dominikański will also be closed for traffic.  Where do you have to be careful?

Five tram lines (8, 11, 16, 17 and 23) will run on their normal routes in the middle of November. 13 lines use bypass routes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 15, 20, 31 and 33). Five lines (0L, 0P, 14, 24 and 32) are suspended, and substitute trams 70 and 74 have been introduced.

3 and 5 do not arrive at Księże Małe

The route of tram lines 3 and 5 has been shortened to Staromiejski Park at the intersection of ul. Skargi and ul. Teatralna. The construction of the intersection of ul. Krakowska with Aleja Armii Krajowej should last until the middle of December this year.

Substitute bus line 703 carries passengers to Księże via Plac Dominikański from ul. Wierzbowa (close to the Wroclaw Puppet Theatre) beside Staromiejski Park – in the morning and afternoon peak hours, they run every 6 minutes.

Without tram service to Kozanów

The intersection of ul. Milenijna and Popowicka has been rebuilt since July. Tram line 31 runs to the Pilczyce terminus, and tram line 32 is suspended. Bus line 731 runs on the Kwiska – Wroclaw Stadium – Kwiska section. These changes should initially last at least until the end of the 1st quarter of 2022.

Change of the route via Plac Jana Pawła II

The tram trackage at Plac Jana Pawła II, where another stage of the repair of tram turnouts from ul. Legnicka started in November, is still under repair.

  • Tram lines 3, 10 and 33 run in both directions via ul. Legnicka, Śrubowa, TAT, Plac Orląt Lwowskich, ul. Podwale, Świdnicka and Teatralna.
  • Tram line 20 runs in both directions via ul. Legnicka, Śrubowa, TAT, Plac Orląt Lwowskich and ul. Podwale to ul. Świdnicka.
  • Tram line 31 runs in both directions via ul. Legnicka, Śrubowa, TAT and Plac Orląt Lwowskich.

Without tram service to Biskupin

On 6th November, the adjustment of the tram trackage at ul. Olszewskiego started in the section from the Dąbie tram depot to the Biskupin tram terminus; therefore, tram lines 1 and 2 are shortened to the ZOO tram terminus at the intersection of ul. Wróblewskiego and Kopernika, and tram lines 4 and 10 are shortened to the temporary tram terminus on the premises of the Dąbie tram depot (Tramwajowa tram stop).

In the Tramwajowa – Bartoszowice – Tramwajowa section, season replacement bus line 701 will be introduced – buses will run every 6 minutes in the morning and afternoon peak hours.

Buses of the line 701 running towards Biskupin and Bartoszowice will depart from the Tramwajowa tram stop towards the centre and return towards ul. Olszewskiego.
