Remember that pupils up to 21 years of age (excluding university students) are entitled to travel by trams and buses for free, irrespective of their place of residence. They are required to have a school ID card.
Trams
11 tram lines (1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 16, 17 and 31) will run on their normal routes in the first half of September. Eight lines will use bypass routes (3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 23, 31 and 33). Five lines (0L, 0P, 14, 24 and 32) are suspended, and substitute trams 70 and 74 will run.
3 and 5 will not arrive at Księże
From 28th August, the route of tram line 3 will be shortened to Plac Wróblewskiego, and tram line 5 will run from ul. Piłsudskiego via ul. Małachowskiego and Pułaskiego also only to Plac Wróblewskiego. The construction of the intersection of ul. Krakowska with Aleja Armii Krajowej should last around 3 months.
Bus service to Księże will be provided from ul. Wierzbowa (near the Wroclaw Puppet Theatre) via Plac Dominikański by substitute bus line 703.
Without tram service to Kozanów
The intersection of ul. Milenijna and Popowicka has been rebuilt since July. Tram line 31 runs to the Pilczyce terminus, and tram line 32 is suspended. Bus line 731 runs on the Kwiska – Wroclaw Stadium – Kwiska section. These changes should last at least until the end of October.
Change of the route via Plac Jana Pawła II
The trackage at ul. Św. Mikołaja and at ul. Ruska is still under repair. The trackage is closed from Plac Jana Pawła II towards the centre in both directions, and trams turn into ul. Podwale. The completion of works is scheduled for October.
- Tram lines 3, 10 and 33 run in both directions via Legnicka, Plac Jana Pawła II, ul. Podwale, Świdnicka, Teatralna and Piotra Skargi to Plac Dominikański.
- Tram line 20 runs in both directions via ul. Legnicka, Plac Jana Pawła and Podwale to ul. Świdnicka.
- Tram line 31 runs in both directions via ul. Legnicka, Plac Jana Pawła II and Podwale to Plac Orląt Lwowskich.
Bus line 144
From 28th August, bus line 144 will run towards ul. Zwycięska on a bypass route from ul. Nowy Świat via ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego, Krupnicza and Sadowa to Plac Legionów, skipping the stops at Plac Jana Pawła II and Plac Orląt Lwowskich. In the reverse direction, the route will not change.
Which normal routes will be restored?
The Park & Ride car park on the Klecina tram terminus is ready, which means that tram lines 7 and 17 have returned to their normal route. The replacement of tram turnouts at the Powstańców Śląskich/Hallera intersection is also finished. Tram lines 2, 6, 7 and 17 will again run via ul. Powstańców Warszawskich to the Krzyki and Klecina terminus.
New buses
From 21st August, ten new bus lines provide service to passengers living in Czernica, Kobierzyce, Kąty Wrocławskie, Siechnice and Żórawina communes. These are bus lines 903, 907, 909, 913, 920, 927L, 927P, 933 and 947, and bus line 612 will run differently.
Changes can also be expected by passengers of bus line 143, the route of which has been extended from the terminus at Oporów via ul. Solskiego, Al. Piastów, ul. Racławicka, Powstańców Śląskich, Kamienna, Borowska, Świeradowska and Morwowa to the terminus at Tarnogaj. The route of bus line 132 has been extended from the post office building to the tram terminus at Oporów, and bus line 125 runs from Brochów via ul. Solskiego to the terminus at ul. Tyniecka close to the Lower Silesian Innovation and Science Park.
The peak-hour bus line 319, which has run from the terminus at ul. Kamieńskiego to ul. Tyniecka until now, will carry passengers to the terminus at Klecina.
Bus line 126 in the area of Krzyki will run via ul. Sowia and Skarbowców and then to the terminus at ul. Wojszycka.
