With its 12 free workshop stations,Wyspa Słodowa will be just the place to greet spring. The events kick off at 12.00. Do you want to know what slackline or parkour is, try your hand at playing drums, or riding a monocycle? Or perhaps you might be interested in the secrets of prestidigitation, straight from world's largest circuses? You can learn all of the above from noon to 5.00 p.m. And later on come the concerts. The open air stage will host, e.g. Chemia, one of the most popular rock bands in Poland. Only in the last year Chemia supported stars such as Metallica, Deep Purple, or Alice in Chains. The programme also features The Lottery, i.e. a group of students with a penchant for Indie rock, a heavy-rock formation, Birma and 4Szmery.
As is tradition, you should drown the marzanna effigy (symbolizing winter) on the first day of spring. Such an event was also included in the programme, particularly with the thought of kids. There will also be other attractions for them - Indian Village and sumo. Fans of sport will enjoy the Ultimate Frisbee demonstrations and Nordic Walking classes. The organizer of the First Day of Spring on Wyspa Słodowa is the Wroclaw Centre for Social Development (Wrocławskie Centrum Rozwoju Społecznego).

Workshops in Wyspa Słodowa - Get Inspired For Spring!

Wyspa Słodowa will offer 12 workshop stands on the first day of spring. The programme includes activities in acrobatics, sports, art and music. Various hobbyists and enthusiasts will also be available. They will introduce you to the world of their interests, but also allow you to try your hand in disciplines such as le parkour, slackline, or rola-bola.This will be a great opportunity to develop your talents and gain new and interesting skills. Come and see how you can spend your free time in an interesting and creative way. Participation in all workshops is free and does not require registration. Classes will be available at 12.00-17.00, and then come the concerts.

On 21. March, all fans of Instagram and photography are welcome to join us in a walk through the streets of our city in search of beauty hidden in the details that can escape us on a day-to-day basis. Feel free to join us on a photographic walk, during which we will try to re-discover Wroclaw.

Ręki Dzieła Fest, Vol. 3, SPRING 2015
Nowe Horyzonty Cinema, 10:00, ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego 19a -21, admission is free
The programme includes a fashion show, and exhibition stands with unique handicraft. A group of new artists will present their works, and there will also be an Easter stand, presenting the works of previous exhibitors. During the festival you will be able to take part in free handicraft workshops, including sewing toys from recycled materials and patchwork, making garlands and Easter decorations. Registration for the workshops will take place on 21. and 22. March on the ground floor of the cinema during the fair. The fashion show will take place on the first day of spring at 17.00.

Festival of Food Trucks and Decent Beer - Wroclawscy Ulicożercy

We will wake up spring from the winter sleep and welcome it wholeheartedly with unique flavours and tempting aromas!
This time, Wroclawscy Ulicożercy will accompany a special event, Kontury: Wroclaw Applied Art Exhibition. Dozens of stalls will present a wide range of furniture, lighting, home furnishings and handicrafts. The atmosphere will be very tasty and designer.
To quench your thirst, available will be vintage craft beers from breweries such as Jan Olbracht, Pinta, Czarny Kot, Dr.Brew, Birbant and many others.

Imagination Week Spring 2015

It's always worth popping to the library; the programme includes a demonstration of textbooks and a presentation on Role Playing Games, as well as a night game session. The "Imagination Week Spring 2015" will feature also RPG meetings, ideas for use in Role Playing Games, concepts from books, films, and comics, as well as competitions, board game sessions and lectures about alchemists.

Francophone Film Review at the CEKDiM

On Friday, 20. March, the spring cycle of the Francophone Film Review includes a presentation of Canadian animated films, "Animation Express", Canada, September 2005, 80 min., the French version with Polish subtitles.
A collection of Canadian animated films: works of art such as Madame Tutli-Putli or Sleeping Betty, a classic or experimental short film. It is the new wave talent and renowned art that make the magic of animation.

Imagination Week Spring 2015

Wroclaw Meetings with Fantasy - Being God Is Easy. The latest Polish sci-fi by Robert J. Schmidt. The programme of the "Imagination Week Spring 2015" includes also lectures, meetings, ideas for use in Role Playing Games, concepts from books, films, and comics, as well as competitions, tournaments and board game sessions.

Concert of Garou at the First Day of Spring

The Canadian singer and multi-instrumentalist will perform at the Centennial Hall at 19.00. His albums acquire gold, platinum and diamond statuses. The artist will visit six cities. In Wroclaw, he will sing his greatest hits - Gitan, Seoul, Reviem, as well as the repertoire from the latest album.

Frankofonia Festival
Wroclaw Philharmonics, 19.00, the opening concert is on Friday
The International Francophonie Organisation has made 20. March the Day of the Francophone Countries. As every year, the Wroclaw Alliance Francaise welcomes to the Francophonie Festival, which runs from 13. March to 6. April. The festival's patron is the Mayor of Wroclaw. The grand opening will take place in the Wroclaw Philharmonic, with a recital of a French pianist, Betrand Chamayou of the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by George Tchichinadze.

The First Day of Spring in reggae rhythms

Concert of KC Nwokoye at the First Day of Spring

He is a Nigerian vocalist, composer and songwriter living in Poland. Recently, his début album was released, "Shine". His musical style is compared to artists such as Nat King Cole, John Legend and Sade. His songs are broadcast by a lot of radio and television stations in Poland.
