1 June is one of those days in the year that children always look forward to. And adults always try to outdo one another in coming up with the ideas on how to entertain kids on Children's Day. The first event to celebrate the occasion in Wroclaw starts on 24 May. Where to entertain your children? Read all about this year's programme below.

Children's Day at the Wroclaw Stadium

"When I grow up, I'll be a..."

Sunday 31 May, Wroclaw Stadium's esplanade, Section D, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., admission free

The event aims to incite chidren's imagination and help them learn more about the most popular professions and find out that a job can also be your passion.

The programme includes: • a meeting with Śląsk Wroclaw football team• open access to one of the stands in the stadium• a meeting with Panthers Wroclaw American football team• a mini go-cart racing track and go-cart events• dance shows and workshops • sports games and competitions • boardgames • a young chemist's lab

and many other games and competitions. Those who attend the event will be able to try their hand at slacklining, a discipline which involves walking a webbing and is a perfect exercise to keep your balance.

Gates to the stadium will be open in ul. Lotnicza and Królewiecka. Additionally, access to the go-cart racing track will be available, and the participants will also be able to enter the picnic and barbecue zone, that is, the green area behind the stadium where they can lay out their blankets and enjoy the party. A free car park is available in ul. Królewiecka.

Children's Day at the Aquapark Wroclaw

The playground on 31 May is exclusively available to children between 8 and 12 years of age, and on the remaining days to all children aged 8 years and above.ATTENTION! The attraction is available only to those of you who can swim. All you need to do is buy a "Recreational Swimming Pool" ticket.

Children's Day at the Puppet Theatre - outdoor events

Sunday 31 May, at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

MAGICAL THEATRICAL AUTOMATON - a family show outdoors

Teatro Tatro (Nitra, Slovakia)

The Slovakian theatre company presents an interactive outdoor show inspired by the Olympic Games. The audience are asked to turn on the "theatrical automaton", which in turn shows which sports discipline the actors are going to perform. The legendary Slovakian Teatr Tatro company are on top of their game and ready to impress you with their agility. They give their show in a circus caravan specially designed by František Liptàk.

"Zàzračný divadelný automat" was presented during the Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, in 2010, where it garnered praise and was awarded a gold medal from journalists.

Children's Day Colourful Ball!

Sunday 31 May, 4 p.m., Klubodzieciarnia, ul. Skarbowców 64/1b, access 15PLN/child
