Day Care Centre 'Na Ciepłej' is a specialist facility offering group classes, therapy, psychoeducation and support groups. An important part of the centre's activities is a project MeetingDem - an innovative support system for people with mild and moderate dementia, and their carers. Designed and developed in the Netherlands, the project includes five centres in four countries: Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and now in Poland.
'Na Ciepłej' is also a day care assistance centre for persons of retirement age and single people with reduced fitness. The facility will expand its activities also with workshops for people with intellectual disabilities, and in the future, it is to become a meeting place for local activity.
The centre is a joint venture of the Municipal Welfare Centre, the city of Wroclaw and Wroclaw Medical University. The project is coordinated by Prof. Joanna Rymaszewska with the Department of Psychiatry.
On the occasion of the opening of the Day Care Centre 'Na Ciepłej,' a picnic was thrown for Wroclawians, organized jointly with the Estate Council of Huby Housing Estate. During the Saturday's event, the organizers have proposed a first aid course, games and activities for children and adults, refreshments, barbecue and visiting a café offering pastries made by the charges of the Day Care Centre. All willing could also visit the centre.
