22nd May – the replacement of tram turnouts at the Powstańców Śląskich/Hallera intersection

On Saturday 22nd May, the replacement of tram turnouts at the intersection of ul. Powstańców Śląskich and Aleja Hallera (from ul. Jastrzębia) should start. For the time of construction of temporary turnouts, tram lines 2, 6, 7, 17, 20, 70 and 74 will change their routes. Replacement buses will run through ul. Powstańców Śląskich and Al. Hallera.

Change from 24th May 2021

After the construction of temporary tram turnouts at both sides of the intersection of ul. Powstańców Śląskich and Al. Hallera, a change of routes of tram lines 2, 7, 17, 20, 70 and 74 will be introduced from 24th May 2021 (Monday).

Tram lines 7 and 17

Trams will return to the route on ul. Powstańców Śląskich to the Klecina terminus and will return to their normal route via ul. Powstańców Śląskich and Al. Hallera to Oporów.

Tram lines 70 and 74

Trams no. 70 will run on the Osobowice – FAT – Osobowice route via ul. Powstańców Śląskich and Al. Hallera, and trams no. 74 will run on the Osobowice – FAT – Osobowice route via Plac Legionów and ul. Grabiszyńska.

Tram lines 2 and 6

Because of limited throughput capacity in the individual track section within the ul. Powstańców Śląskich/Al. Hallera intersection during track works in progress, trams no. 2 will run in both directions from ul. Powstańców Śląskich via Al. Hallera and ul. Grabiszyńska to the Grabiszyńska (Cmentarz) terminus, and trams no. 6 will continue to run on the route shortened to the Arkady (Capitol) stop.

Season lines 77, 702 and 720 will be suspended.

One-time and season tickets from 24th May 2021

Passengers who have punched a one-time ticket in a tram no. 2 or 6 can continue their journey in a tram no. 7 or 17 in the Arkady (Capitol) – Krzyki section or in a tram no. 20 or 70 in the Arkady (Capitol) – Hallera section. The same rule will apply also in the reverse direction. A punched ticket will be valid for maximum 90 minutes.

Passengers having a ticket for a given season line may travel:

  • all lines on the route of the line indicated on the ticket before the renovation;
  • all lines on the route of the line indicated on the ticket that operates on a detour route during the renovation.
