Wroclaw Research Centre EIT+ is a joint venture of the city and Wroclaw universities (with the city of Wroclaw as the majority shareholder). Since 2008, a number of specialized workspaces and laboratories have been created in both renovated and new buildings in the Pracze Odrzanskie campus - a total of over 23 000 sq m of comprehensive research infrastructure.

A perfect candidate for President of the Board of Wroclaw Research Centre EIT+ should have a degree or an academic title. They must demonstrate significant scientific achievements, in particular with regard to the development of science and innovative economy. The condition is the experience in managing and leading a large team. Experience in coordinating the cooperation between science and the business sector is also important.
The candidate will be selected by a committee, including e.g. representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Centre for Research and Development, the City of Wrocław and Wrocław universities.
A candidate seeking this appointment is in particular expected
- to hold a degree in science or a title in arts in the meaning of the Scientific Degrees and Arts Titles Act of 14 March 2003 (uniform text, Journal of Laws of 2016, item 882), or a qualification equal to a Polish degree in science in accordance with law, or a professorship recognisable under an international agreement to which the Republic of Poland is a party;
- to have considerable academic achievements as a researcher, scientist and/or scholar in such areas as the development of science and innovative economy; to present evidence of his/her work relating to fundamental research, industrial research, or experimental development in the meaning of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty Text with EEA relevance (OJ L 187, p.1) and thereby prove his/her authorship of scientific publications in the above areas; to show evidence of registered patent applications and/or successful implementations of research and/or development projects in the field of economy;
- to have a proven track record in the managing of research and/or development projects with a focus on practical implementation;
- to have several years of experience in managerial roles and leadership of large teams;
- to have experience in collaborative projects involving academia and business as well as international cooperation;
- to demonstrate expertise in the field of commercial companies;
- to have professional experience of serving in different executive roles including finance, business law, consulting, and management in line with the Company’s profile.
