Zbigniew Maćków, the building's designer, elaborates on the advantages of the location. "This place has been waiting long for its opportunity, but it was worth it," he says. Spacious and three-metre high, the apartments will also be fitted out with large windows that command a beautiful view of the Grunwaldzki Bridge and Ostrów Tumski. As the windows open to the south, the owners of the apartments will enjoy a lot sunlight during the day. The designer also found it particularly important that the building blends in with the existing urban fabric.
Mr Maćków emphasises that the Wyspiańskiego 11 building also fits is with his urban renaissance philosophy. in the 1990s, the residents of Wroclaw often moved to the outskirts of the city, but they soon realised that they spent a lot of time commuting and that travelling long distances affected their social life. "People are now returning to the city. And Wyspiańskiego 11 is a perfect location to suit their needs. I am really happy I could contribute to the project conceived for contemporary burghers.
The five-storey building has been designed to contain 57 apartments, ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom apartments. The smallest and the largest apartments are 40 sqm and 120 sqm, respectively. They all will be fitted out and some of them will also have terraces or loggias, and the building will also have an underground car park, a lobby and a gym. Prices range from 7 to 12 thousand PLN per square metre.
Wyspiańskiego 11 is the first Wroclaw investment by the French real estate developers. So far, Bouygues Immobilier have been active in Warsaw, where they have completed 17 investments since 2001. They have also contributed to such landmark projects as the construction of the European Parliament in Strasbourg or Stade de France in Paris.
Iwona Kołodziejczyk, Director of the Bouygues Immobilier Poland Wroclaw Branch, emphasises that the decision to expand in Wroclaw has been preceded by a careful analysis of the local property market. "We have selected Wroclaw because it is a city open to external investors. We find it very fruitful to cooperate with the local administration," she says. "We are now launching sales at Wyspiańskiego 11, but we are also planning yet another investment next year."
