The Belarusians who will decide to flee from their homeland to Wroclaw can count on support from the representative of the Mayor of Wroclaw for inhabitants of Belarusian descent. This person is Tatsiana Andrushka.
‘We all keep track of the events in Belarus and we strongly keep our thumbs up for a permanent change to occur there,’ says Jacek Sutryk. ‘I believe that Tatsiana will be our important co-ordinator in relations with Belarusians. Their community in our city is counted in ten thousands. We want them to know that they can always rely on us. Wroclaw is a city of solidarity, where we do not only recollect solidarity from the past, but we want to show it every day.
Commenting upon her appointment to the new position, Tatsiana Andrushka expressed gratitude for the support shown to her.
‘Thank you very much for supporting our nation. This is so important to us in these difficult moments,’ she says. ‘I learned that Wroclaw is a city of meetings of good people. We want Belarusians to learn that this place is safe and hospitable to them. My role is to provide information support and, if necessary, administrative support.
Tatsiana Andrushka has lived in Wroclaw since 2014. She is a graduate of the Minsk State Linguistic University, the Belarusian National Technical University and the Wroclaw Banking School. She participated in the organisation of The World Games 2017. She helps organise Polish-Belarusian business and sports co-operation.
