The Japanese Garden opens after the winter

Wroclaw Japanese Garden is a special place, founded in admiration for the Japanese garden art, and co-created by specialists from Japan. This season, visitors to Wroclaw Japanese Garden can now safely walk and take pictures on a wooden arched bridge, which has been renovated.

Beer Geek Madness 4 - beer festival
From 30 March to 2 April, Zaklęte Rewiry, ul. Krakowska 100
A treat for lovers of good beer. Every day from 7 pm, seven locations will offer various events. Admission is free, with regular sales of beer on the premises. April 2 will see the finals of the BGM in Zaklęte Rewiry, admission is included in the price of the Beer package.

Plant a forest with Brave Festival
April 2-3, 10 am - 6 pm, Świniary, meeting at the bridge Pęgowski
Brave Festival organizers welcome to a joint tree planting in a Wroclaw district, Świniary. The idea is to strengthen the environmental awareness of citizens through common creation of the city's green infrastructure.Attractions: environmental workshops for adults and children prepared by Fundacja Ekorozwoju and the Forest District "Śnieżka," and a competition for the coolest name for a seedling. The winner will receive a ticket to the events taking place as part of Brave Festival 2016.

Rope Park on Opatowicka Island - opening of the season

On April 2, representatives of the rope park on Opatowicka Island welcome all comers to the opening of the season: the youngsters, who start with the route Myszka (Mouse), and the older experts, who are not afraid to face the formidable Pantera (Panther). And what lies between Mouse and Panther? The remaining 5 routes, so that everyone will find something for themselves.

Port of call: Lviv
From April 1 to May 1, the Centennial Hall
Port of call: Lviv during the Lviv Month of Wroclaw ECC 2016 is a programme for visiting the exhibition: Panorama of the Old Lviv by Janusz Witwicki, prepared by the Centennial Hall. The Centennial Hall will present the film Makieta (Model) - a panoramic story, presenting the remarkable story of creating the Panorama of Old Lviv and its fate after the war, until the opening of the exhibition.

The Road to Modernity. Housing estates by Werkbund 1927-1932
From March 31 to June 5, 11 am - 5 pm, Museum of Architecture, ul. Bernardyńska 5
The exhibition presents all the model housing estates in one place for the first time. It's an opportunity to show the original design of the kitchen, dining room and living area in the estate Neubühl in Zurich, bedroom furnishings from estates in Brno and Stuttgart, or lamps, dishes and toys from the estate Baba in Prague. Especially for the exhibition, prepared were presentations showing the present condition of the Werkbund estates.

Spring Restaurant Week

All willing will have the opportunity to try 'the three-course restaurant experience,' i.e. the appetizer, the main course and dessert for the price of 39 PLN! This applies to all twenty one Wroclaw premises, which will take part in the festival. The menu they prepared are author's proposals of their chefs. You can check them out on the organizer's website and book a table now.

Lviv Alley

Design arrangements in Przejście Garncarskie recalling the architecture of Lviv, cultural and culinary presentations, the aroma of coffee and chocolate, put us in the atmosphere of the modern Lviv. There will be arts and crafts, contemporary design and animation activities for both children and parents. In the alley we will also hear SOUNDS FROM THE EAST.

Lower Silesia Phonographic Fair
April 2, 1 - 3 pm, Firlej Club, ul. Grabiszyńska 54, free admisison
Every first Saturday of the month, Wroclaw Club Firlej welcomes to the Phonographic Fair. The dominant medium is vinyl, but you can also find CDs and cassettes. Sometimes, you can even find old, worn-out 1930s shellac discs, popular, regularly re-released albums, and also true gems, sought out by the collectors at the fairs in Berlin or London. Admission for both exhibitors and customers is free.

The title 'Seven Wonders' refers to the seven areas of culture - landscape, language, art, science, architecture, religion and meeting, which triggered the presentation of the most valuable artefacts of the region. The exhibition will have an interactive character (the exhibition space will include an educational path in the form of a game), which is to encourage customers even more to explore the cultural wealth of Lower Silesia.

Lviv Club-cum-café Pod Klepsydrą

In April the Lviv Club-cum-café Pod Klepsydrą will be open in Przejście Garncarskie 2, first floor, which is the festival club, a meeting place and the heart of the project Wroclaw-Lviv. The club will abound with Ukrainian sounds, Lviv flavours and aromas, and a laid-back vibe of an artistic café. It is here that concerts, literary meetings, debates, animation and games for children, as well as jam sessions until the wee hours of the morning will be held.

The choir has existed for 15 years. They have sung in Strasbourg and Jerusalem. To perform in Wroclaw are: the choir, four soloists and an organist. The programme: Two masses: Die Missa solemnis by Johann Baptist Vanhal and Die Missa by Carl Gottlieb Reissiger.

Ukrajins'kyj Zriz: Transformations

Ukrajins'kyj Zriz, or Ukrainian Cross-section is an overview of Ukrainian contemporary art. On the six levels of the tenement in Rynek 25 in Wroclaw, from the basement to the roof, created was the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of Ukrainian contemporary art - over fifty artists from all over Ukraine will present painting, sculpture, installation, performance, video art and digital media art.
