Brand new and ready to rock, Ślepy Zaułek is waiting for you to come in ul Św Antoniego 2/4, which is the city's almost very heart. Following the grand opening on Saturday, they are going to start on at 11.00 a.m. 2. March to show off their extraordinary skills in feeding the hungry and serving the drinks.
Food pairing, or what you can match?
In its classic form, food pairing is all about perfecting your food by combining ideal and sometimes shocking flavours. This method is creative and helps to break the culinary mould. The method proves particularly inspiring to foodies, young and brave, including the Ślepy Zaułek personnel. Their guests will be offered an original menu, including such mind-blowing sets as these: lunch with matching cocktails, both for teetotallers and not, to "bring the flavours from each of our dishes". Thus spoke Ślepy Zaułek's owner, Paweł Białożyński.
Sets such as these will be on the menu each day after 6.00 p.m. But what's next?
What follows is just as tasty. The cocktails will be "rubbing shoulders" with delicious refreshments, such as pâtés, cold meats and cheeses. Fragrant coffees and teas, prepared by smiling personnel, will be there for you to enjoy round the clock... together with deliciously golden offerings from Wroclaw's local breweries.
Atmosphere
Ślepy Zaułek is going to dazzle you with unusual interiors which are there to help you taste a variety of different musical styles. The grand opening on 28. February is going to feature the unique soud experience from NOTAB: "The Eastern Wind will pierce your ears with the most impressive tunes that date from the 1960s until today. Their carefully selected and mixed sounds will take you to places the went down in the history of music or on a crawl around Wroclaw's local music clubs" and from FLSHBCK: "His sets combine a variety of musical genres, ranging from reggae, funk and jazz to disco, new disco, eighty's house and contemporary electronic club music". Ślepy Zaułek is going to open its doors to the creative bunch and will organise meetings with artists, musicians and people of the theatre. They will also promote good photographers and performers and create a wide offer of workshops and training series.
You should definitely follow what's on at Ślepy Zaułek and pop in there from time to time, not only to seek aid to your quivering body after a night on the town... But the guys at Ślepy Zaułek will deal with this as well: a special breakfast to kill your hangover and a Bloody Mary, with or without vodka.
