Founded over 200 years ago, the Botanical Garden in Wroclaw is one of the oldest gardens of this kind (after the Kraków garden) in Poland. It was established in 1811, along with the university, a part of which it has been until today. Originally it occupied around 5 ha, and its collection consisted of slightly more than 400 plants and their varieties. It is one of the most popular attractions of Wroclaw. After the winter break, it will be open to visitors again.
The Garden can be entered from ul. Sienkiewicza and from the side of Ostrów Tumski from ul. Kanonii. Tickets cost PLN 15 (full price) and PLN 5 (reduced price for schoolchildren, students and pensioners), and the personal season ticket valid for one year costs PLN 200.
Ticket offices are open from 8:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m., and sightseeing is allowed till 7:00 p.m.
