Contest Friday
Until 15.00 an art contest will be held in the garden for schoolchildren and pre-schoolers. This year the little artists' task will be to decorate dwarf houses. Several zones will operate in the Staromiejski Garden, creating a big dwarf village where kids can feel like in a dwarf world. The programme includes, among others, plaster dwarf cast workshops, photo atelier, and decorations and doll workshops. The first day of the festival will finish around 16.00.
Saturday attractions
The second day of the event starts at 11.00 in the Staromiejski Garden and in Wrocław Puppet Theatre, where the students of Wrocław PWST [State Theatre University] prepared an author's project "Krasnale" [Dwarves] especially for this year's festival. Short performances will be presented at the summer scene of the Puppet Theatre every hour, on the hour. At 11.00 and 14.00 presented will be "Koszmarny koszmar" [Nightmarish Nightmare], a tale taking place in the dream world, with many crumpled pillows and many sleepy headed dwarves. At 12.00 and 15.00 presented will be "Same słodkości" [Just Sweet], a tale about the birthday of a dwarf girl, Marysia Pięknisia [Mary the Beauty]. Will the dwarf party end happily? Just watch the show and see for yourself. At 13.00 and 16.00 the actors will present a short performance "Brak weny" [No Inspiration], telling a tale about adventures of Tiny the Dwarf, who is to paint portraits of dwarves to complete his family tree. Dwarf mission Also on Saturday at 11.30 planned is the start of a family urban game "Wrocławskie Krasnale: Misja w świecie bajek" [Wrocław Dwarves: Mission In The Fairy Tale World]. Putting on pointy hats at the start, all participants will become dwarves and journey to the fairy tale world in search of the lost Great Book Of Tales. Together their will have to find fairy tale characters, who - in return for the favour - will help them remember fragments of tales and legends about dwarves. The best teams will receive attractive prizes.
The dwarf festival will end at 17.00. However, the organizers also prepared some attractions for a little bit older fans of Wrocław dwarves. At 18.30 an Improvised Comedy Night will take place in the Puppet Theatre, featuring Narwani z Kontekstu, Improkracja and Małe Instrumenty.
