Wrocław at Hannover Messe 2016

Hannover Messe is the world's most important event oriented towards application of technology in industry.   The 5 thousand exhibitors hailing from across the whole world included Wrocław based companies: Wrocław Technology Park, Wrocław's EIT+ Research Centre, and the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency. Hannover Messe 2016 is the renowned International Fair of Technology, Innovation and Automation in Industry. On Sunday, April 24, the event was opened by President Barack Obama and Chancellor Angela Merkel. On April 25 through 29, 5 thousand exhibitors from all over the world are showcased. Almost 60 exhibitors from Poland take part in the Hannover event. The Polish booth in the form of a spherical tent is located near the main USA pavilion. Among the Polish based exhibitors are companies hailing from Wrocław: Wrocław Technology Park, Wrocław's EIT+ Research Centre, and the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency. - We present Wrocław’s economic potential. As a strong academic and scientific research centre, the city showcases its investment potential. Those visiting our booth were interested in areas including the application of EIT+ laboratories – says Dariusz Ostrowski, president of the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency. Poland is to become a partner to Hannover Messe 2017 This year, the USA is the partner country of the International Trade Fair of Innovative Industrial Technologies held in Hannover. Next year, it is Poland that will become the event's official partner. Deputy Minister Paweł Chorąży signed a memorandum on the matter on Tuesday, April 26.
