The Municipal Museum
collects, archives and displays culture artifacts, most of which are related to Wroclaw
and Silesian history.
The collection includes goldware, graphic,
painting, regular Polish weapon, guns and rifles, martyrology items and documents related
to Wroclaw and Silesian history.
The museum organises and runs museum
lessons for children and school youth.

The Museum of the Archdiocese has existed
at Kanonia St. 12 since 1898.
The museum collects, conservates and
displays artistic and historical works of art. The exhibition includes sculpture,
painting, textile art (14th – 19th century) and ancient relics: mummies, wedge
alphabet plates, olive lamps etc. The museum organises temporary exhibitions
of various subjects.

The National Museum (financed with the
budget of Lower Silesia Voivodship Government) has existed since 1948.
It specialises in Silesian art from between 12th and
19th century, as well as Polish contemporary art.
The museum runs a publishing house, catalogues collections and exhibitions, and has
published guide, brochures and reference books. It leases rooms for lectures, shows, films,
exhibitions, concerts and meetings with authors.

The Ethnography Museum has existed since
1948.
It is a branch of the National Museum in Wroclaw. The museum exhibits folk culture of
Lower Silesia (clothing, textile, ceramic, material culture and folklore). It runs
lessons and consultations regarding the culture values of our region.

The Raclawice Panorama, a branch of the
National Museum, has been open for public since 1985.
It displays a
painting by Wojciech Kossak and Jan Styka depicting the victorious battle of Polish army
over Russian in the neighbourhood of Raclawice village.
The museum organises lessons, lectures, concerts and projections of films about art.

The Wroclaw University Museum has existed
since 1992.
It displays the history of the University since 1702 until now. The
collection and exhibition include items related to history (furniture, equipment). There
are also scientific instruments and archives related to the University and its people. The museum consists of four
buildings: Aula Leopoldina (Leopoldinum), Pod Filarem (Under the Pillar), Wieza
Matematyczna (Mathematics Tower) and the Oratorium Marianum Music Hall.

Geological Museum of the Geology Institute
of the Wroclaw University has existed since 1866.
The museum collects and
protects geological and paleontologic collections. It has both paleozoological and
paleobothanical items. The regional collections come mainly from Sudetes Mountains and
foothills.
The museum runs lessons on
the subjects of Earth science for primary and secondary schools. Both scholars and students
utilise the collection.

The museum collects and exhibits minerals, precious stones, gems and meteorites.
There are lessons on the
subjects related to mineralogy held at the museum.

The Nature Museum has existed since 1814.
It organises zoological and botanical exhibitions showing all plants and animals from all
over the world. It carries out scientific activity in collaboration with similar foreign
institutes. The exhibits belong to one of the best and unique European collection.

The Post and Telecommunications Museum
(financed with the budget of Lower Silesia Voivodship Government) has existed since 1956.
It carries out exhibitory and educational activity. The collection
includes documents, photographs, items related to Polish Post, such as: stamps,
uniforms, boxes, signboards, vehicles, teletel. s and telegraphs, radio and TV receivers.
