Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency  (ARAW) – a partnership between thirteen local governments – was launched in early 2006 to stimulate economic growth and entrepreneurialism by attracting know-how and new investments to the region. 
ARAW serves as a one-stop-shop to support individuals and companies looking to do business in the agglomeration. ARAW can help to identify suitable investment sites and provide expertise and assistance to help ensure the rapid launch and development of ventures in the region.

ARAW's success means new jobs, greater innovation, the diffusion of know-how.  The agency also works to inform the public about key economic developments and trends, and carries out training programs so that the agglomeration will be able to compete successfully on the expanding European market.

Scope of activities of Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency

• support during investment process, including:
• preparation of dedicated presentations
• searching for and preparation of investment offers (investment plots, production halls, warehouses, office space)
• preparation of visits and arrangement of meetings with local authorities, higher education representatives etc. (HR companies, consultant agencies, legal consultancies, etc.)
• searching for suppliers and commercial partners
• support in administrative processes, e.g. obtaining permits and authorizations
• support in visa applications
• advisory in public aid
• support in promotional campaigns
• advisory in European Funds application, preparation of applications for the investors and clients
• analysis and report preparation on order (e.g. compensation reports, legal analysis, etc.)
• workshops and trainings
• creation of local strategies and development plans
