Edward Snowden, threatened with prison as a whistle-blower disclosing how governments gathered our personal data, Annie Alfred from Malawi, prosecuted for albinism, Bajram and Gijas from Azerbaijan, tortured and imprisoned because of graffiti. Nadodrze Night

10 December, 12.00 pm – 11.58 pm, various locations

This year's edition of Nadodrze Night is going to be held a a record-braking number of locations. Forty-nine different venues will be open for visitors until midnight and late into the night. Developed as part of the ECC 2016 programme Futu Wro Miasto Przyszłości [Cities of the Future], a mobile app called AReal will be premièred at the mural in Cybulskiego and Pomorska at 1 pm. The event also marks the first poetic improvisation at the mural. The Krzywy Komin Culture Centre launches two new exhibitions: KIDS DESIGN SPACE and Art and Design Lab. Meetings with designers, artists and craftsmen start in the morning. Feel free to visit Macondo to see an exhibition called "Fault Book". From 6 pm to 9 pm at the Active Culture Society in ul Paulińska, a film will be premièred on Polish relocations to former eastern territories of Germany and monodramas based on the recollections of the Germans who refused to leave for Germany after 1945. Hart Hostel is going to hold an arts and crafts fair called "Jedną Sztukę Proszę" [One Item Please] and an exhibition by Matylda Kotlińska and Izabela Wądołowska. A new mural by Cruse will be unveiled in the Artists' Yard. At 7 pm, 35. issue of the literary magazine Cegła will have its première. The latest issue called "Hotelowa Cegła Skarg i Zażaleń" [Hotel Book of Faults] collects poems and prose from perpetual complainers. Natura Rzeczy offers workshops on how to create natural cosmetic products, candles and small indoor gardens. Two concerts will be held at Znasz Ich Cafe Bistro from 7 pm to 11 pm: The Tactopers and Der Slapstick Tod, who defines their music with the enigmatic term "sombre dance".
