Starting from June, the Toyota Motor Europe Wroclaw Shared Services Centre will be located in the Silver Tower building at pl. Konstytucji 3 Maja.
"Poland and Wroclaw were selected because of the significant efforts of the local and central authorities, which led to the improvement of infrastructure and providing specialised human resources for the needs of accounting services" the company says in their message.
According to Toyota, the centre is to consolidate settlements with suppliers, which are now carried out separately in 18 entities located in 14 countries.
"The centre will be responsible for a part of the accounting work for the entire structure of Toyota Motor Europe: its affiliates, subsidiaries, production centres, marketing and sales companies and logistics centres in different countries" says Zbigniew Oczkowski, general manager of Toyota Motor Industries Poland, quoted in the company's release.
The Shared Services Centre will initially employ 38 people.
"This is a pilot project. I am sure that the Wroclaw investment will be successful, and then the number of employees will grow to several hundred people" says Łukasz Czajkowski from Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency.
Shared Services Centre in Wroclaw will be Toyota's next project in Lower Silesia.
The company has two factories here: in Wałbrzych, where transmissions and gasoline engines have been manufactured since 1999, and in Jelcz-Laskowice, where diesel engines have been manufactured since 2002.
