Trains coming back to Świebodzki Station, and trams again running through the Wroclaw Market Square. Impossible? When you use the 1:22.5 scale, it is not. Construction of Kolejkowo, the largest city train set in Poland, is now about to finish. It will be available for sightseeing in the building of the Świebodzki Station from the coming Monday.

Construction of the largest city train set in the terminal building of Świebodzki Station is now about to finish. At present, its surface is 100 m sq. It took twelve modellers two years to build it. The exhibition will feature, e.g. a miniature of Mt. Śnieżka, Wroclaw Market Square with a tram, or Świebodzki Station. Though the exposition is not ready yet, it already is nothing but impressive. "The miniature city will include over 700 figurines, 9 trains and one tram, with quite a number of bars on railroad crossings," enumerates Jakub Paczyński from Kolejkowo.

For example, it took two months to build Świebodzki Station. As the modellers insist, they are committed to re-creating every detail. Before they take on creating a model, they consult the building's documentation.

The entire system can be operated with a tablet. Modelers with Kolejkowo had to write the program, as commercially available apps were unable to process such a number of elements. "The lighting makes it possible to imitate day or night," says Jakub Paczyński, adding that this was not yet the end of the project. The makers of Kolejkowo want to expand the model to the size of 450 m sq, and to introduce interaction with visitors in the new part. "They will be able to run a car, or a boat on the lake," they explain.

Official opening of the spectacular city train set will take place on 26. January at 12.00. The attraction is to be available every day between 10.00 and 18.00. Tickets will be available at 19 PLN (regular), and 15 PLN (reduced).
