If everything turns out for the best, it will be the thirteenth time the Guitar Guinness Record has been broken. Last year's record was broken in Wroclaw, where 7344 guitars joined in the attempt. As always, the largest guitar orchestra in the world will be conducted by the event's originator Leszek Cichoński.
This year's attempt to break the record has attracted THE GIPSY KINGS Family Reunited, one of the best known guitar families in the world. The tradition in the family was set up by the flamenco legend José Reyes. In the 1960s, his Manitas de Plata duo won the hearts of the international audience. José's sons, the Reyes brothers, set up the legendary GIPSY KINGS.
Their legacy, including such smash hits as "Bamboleo" and "Djobi Djoba", is carried on by the family's youngest generation. The Thanks Jimi Festival in Wroclaw will feature THE GIPSY KINGS Family Reunited with Pablo Reyes, one of the founding brothers of the band, as their leader.
