Silver Tower Center ready in October [PHOTOS]

The Silver Tower Center will be a versatile building. Its 25 k sqm of commercial space will accommodate shops, bars, offices and a hotel. The opening is planned for September, but 60% of the building has already been rented out.

"We are still in the process of renting out the building. At the moment, we are negotiating to let 3.5 k sqm of office and commercial space. The outlet of 1100 sqm at -1 Level will be taken by Biedronka," says Aleksandra Sikora, Rental Property Manager at the Silver Tower Center.

Although the Silver Tower Center will be launched in a few months' time, we have already been given the opportunity to visit the building. Wroclaw's panorama from the top floor of this nearly 55-metre-tall building was definitely the highlight of our visit.

"We have left vertical windows so that the vista makes an inspiring effect on the office workers. I would also like to draw your attention to the open office space which can be arranged in a variety of ways. One floor can accommodate from one or two companies up two thirty different businesses," explains Zbigniew Maćków, Chief Designer at Maćków Pracownia Projektowa.

The building stands out with its intriguing design that, according to its authors, is to resemble a stylish cantilever sewing box. That is why the elevation is concave in places. The effect is created by protruding horizontal blocks. This creates a play of light and shade, and glass adds to this intriguing effect. The building changes colour depending on the time of day, and it ranges from white through grey to silver..

Alice in the Wonderland style hotel

The building will also provide space for Poland's first three-star Ibis Styles Hotel. As the name suggests, its designers lay emphasis on style. The fairy-tale world known from Alice's Adventures in the Wonderland was used as the building's leitmotiv. Its 133 rooms will be decorated with suitable iconographic designs and fitted with fairy-tale gadgets, e.g. wicket gates that lead to the other world. Each floor was painted a different colour. Each floor will also have its own atrium where various climbers will grow on special ropes. Additionally, there will be more light in the hotel.

"The majority of rooms have already been fitted out. We are now waiting for furnishings to be put in common areas such as atria or corridors. Currently, we are working hard to recruit staff and promote sales," says Anna Wierus, Director of the Ibis Styles Wroclaw Centrum Hotel.

Investor and costs

The investment is carried out by the Ukrainian company Wisher Enterprise. The business has completed investments in Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, and is also active in Warsaw where it offers apartments for rent. The construction of the Silver Tower Center began in mid-2012. The investment should be completed in October. The cost of the investment is estimated at 113 million PLN. The space in front of the building will be converted into a square similar to that of the adjacent railway station. It will be more symmetrical and available to the general public. There will be benches and lights in the square, and trees and shrubbery will also be planted in the area. The ground floor of the building will be converted into restaurants and cafés.
