Road works on A4 from Monday [DIVERSION MAP]

Attention: traffic restrictions until the end of September

Last week, the GDDKiA [General Directorate for National Roads and Highways] informed that due to roadworks traffic would be diverted from A4 in Bielany Wrocławskie's vicinity, but no diversion has been put in place as yet.

"We are running preparatory works, we are now signposting the road and preparing both the diversion and the temporary lanes for the drivers. Drivers need to be particularly careful as other lanes will be taken to complete the works,", says Michał Radoszko from Wroclaw's General Directorate for National Roads and Highways

Drivers should bear in mind that on Monday 14 July roadworks began on A4's 13-km section between its 153rd and 167th kilometre (Bielany Wrocławskie's vicinity). The GDDKiA informs that traffic restrictions will be put in place as of this week.

The most important change has been introduced in Bielany Wrocławskie Junction, where drivers travelling to Katowice will be denied access to the road. The following diversion has been provided (see the map for more details): Bielany Wrocławskie Junction- A4 Motorway -Południe Junction - S8 Expressway - Kobierzyce Junction - U-turn at the roundabout on Main Road No. 35 - S8 Expressway- A4 Motorway - towards Katowice.

Another important piece of news is that in the vicinity of Wroclaw drivers travelling towards Katowice will be able to access A4 Motorway at Wroclaw-Południe and Krajków Junctions.

Drivers travelling on A4 from Zgorzelec towards Katowice (and in the opposite direction Katowice-Zgorzelec) will face traffic restrictions in Bielany Wrocławskie's vicinity: there will be only one lane available on a 2-km section of the road. The restrictions will be lifted at the end of September.

If you need information please give us a call!

All necessary information will be provided 24/7 at 71 715 67 10 or at the GDDKiA's hotline 19 111.

From mid-July, drivers using A4 Motorway between Katowice and Wroclaw will be able to avoid traffic jams at tollbooths. There is one condition, however. They need to have the viaAUTO device.
