The exhibition is open to the public from the coming Saturday. The exhibition is unique in that it features a variety of materials from the author's private archive: mainly books, reviews and photographs.
It also brings all the foreign language editions of her books (over 100) and rare photographs takes at meet-the-author sessions, book fairs and conferences as well as less formal settings. The whole display is complemented with photographs taken by Tokarczuk herself.
The exhibition is divided into two parts. The first part is on display at the North side of the Market Square and features photographs and reivews on 20 different boards and in 30 different languages.
The section at the Mikulski Lower Silesia Public Library (Rynek 58) T. Mikulskiego (Rynek 58) brings foreign editions of Olga Tokarczuk's works and other prints related to her oeuvre.
As you go through the passages of her foreign reviews, you can easily see how much interest Tokarczuk's novels attract in different cultures and different countries. Olga Tokarczuk will attend the opening of the exhibitions and will later join a meet-the-author session with her readers. The meeting will be conducted by Professor Stanisław Bereś.
