The new car park will take up the space of 700 sqm: an empty plot of land next to the Herbarium of the Wroclaw University's Natural History Museum. The plot is located along ul Mieszka I.
The place has been popular with drivers as no fees were collected for parking the area. Unfortunately, the surface of the square leaves a lot to be desired.
"The surface is at its worst when it rains. The potholes are filled with large puddles of water and it is easy to damage your car," say Marcin Pająk, who often parks his car in the area.
The Municipal Office plans to replace the existing surface with sett stones. Approximately 25 parking spaces will be created as a result. The area will also be illuminated by night. If the Municipal Office manages to select the contractor at the turn of August and September, the investment will be completed by November this year. Drivers who wish to park their cars at the new car park will have to pay for it.
