"We have six city bikes on our offer. They have been fitted with 26-inch wheels, which means that both men, women and children can ride these bikes,"asserts Ewa Czyżewska from the Tourist and Bicycle Information Centre.
"This little cosy shop is not here to compete with City Bikes. The offer has been designed for those people who use bicycles only rarely. If the idea catches on, the Centre plans to extend the offer with bicycle trailers and safety seats for children. They also plan to organise bicycle trips around Wroclaw.
We act on the example of the countries such as Belgium, Luxembourg or the Netherlands, where shops like these are quite successful. We cooperate with hostels and hotels, and they inform their clients about our services," adds Ewa Czyżewska.
You have to be an adult to rent a bicycle. All you need to do is present your ID and sign a statement available either in Polish or in English. The deposit is 100 PLN. The rental prices are 8PLN per hour and 35 PLN per day, and bicycles are available from 9 am to 8 pm (working hours at the Centre). Each bicycle is fitted with lights and a lock.
