Nestle will employ 230 persons

In 2015 Nestlé will open the first animal food factory in Poland near Wroclaw. At the first stage of the investment, 230 new jobs will be created.

The production of animal food will start at the beginning of 2015, but the ordering process began already in September 2014. At the first stage of the investment, the factory near Wroclaw will produce mainly cat food for the German market.

The recruitment process continues. Currently, candidates are being sought for positions of production operators, forklift operators and production employees. Young beginners without professional experience are also invited. This is a reflection of the European Youth Employment Initiative – Nestlé needs YOUth. As a part of its strategy, the company supports young people entering the labour market. By 2016, it intends to employ even 20,000 people under 30 years of age.

Job applications can be sent by e-mail to: [email protected] or by traditional mail to: Nestlé Polska S.A., Oddział Purina, ul. Ryszarda Chomicza 13A, 55-080 Nowa Wieś Wrocławska. Interviews are conducted by candidates' future superiors and the HR team.

‘Poland is the biggest market of food for household animals in Central and Eastern Europe,’ says José Ignacio Lopezmalo Perezcarpy, Director of Nestlé Polska S.A., Purina Division in Nowa Wieś Wrocławska. ‘Our factory will be the first plant of Nestlé PURINA to produce food for household animals in Poland. We are happy that our modern and ecological production plant will be located at the intersection of important European transport routes in Nowa Wieś Wrocławska. We consider it very important to show regard for the environment, create new jobs and support Polish suppliers while running our business.’

The authorities of the company declare that as much as 90% of ingredients will be delivered by Polish suppliers, which should contribute to the support of local employment.

The contract of purchase of land for the construction of the Nestlé PURINA PetCare factory and the household animal food distribution centre in Nowa Wieś Wrocławska was signed by Nestlé in December 2013. Buildings have already been finished, and welfare facilities, roads, fences and interior decorations are being prepared.

The company assumes that the entire investment on the 14.6 ha plot will consist of 6 stages and that it will be completed in 10 years. The investment is carried out in accordance with the rules of sustainable construction according to the guidelines of the LEED certificate.

The value of the entire investment is approx. PLN 300 million.
