Let's meet at the Oder: Dunikowskiego Blv restored

Oder promenades gained new colours! On April 16, all the residents of Wroclaw are welcome to enjoy the renovated Xawerego Dunikowskiego Boulevard. Have fun, take photos and tag them with the official hashtag of the event #bulwarXD

As early as 11 am, food trucks will park by the Academy of Fine Arts, and attractions in five zones will kick off on the boulevard - food, sports, presentation, activity, and children's zone. 'Anyone who comes to the festival on that day, can count on exceptional entertainment,' says Dorota Ostrowska, project coordinator with the Office of Promotion and Tourism . The programme features: walking trips and water rides. A professional guide will lead tours of the boulevard and ships will sail the Oder River, offering cruises for a small donation. All proceedings from the charity collection will support Wroclaw Hospice for Children,' adds Ostrowska.

It is no coincidence that the boulevard was opened in the spring - is the perfect place to stroll and relax. Spring is also a great time to take out lighter clothes of the closet. A Wroclaw stylist advises to pay attention to the latest fashion, and to match the latest trends to your figure and type of beauty. 'This season is dominated by bars, great for modelling and improving the figure, as well as colourful designs with multiple recurring motifs of flowers, animals and geometric figures. Shimmering materials and the timeless denim are en vogue again. The colours of the season are white, orange, blue and nude. 'I like the colours, which I know from a trip to sunny Italy, it reminds me of Wroclaw, the meeting place of different people. One person bikes, the other is in a wheelchair, and the third on his feet. As Lech Janerka sung in one of his songs, "it's worth having your own style"', says Bartłomiej Skrzyński, Spokesman for Persons with Disabilities with the city of Wroclaw. During the festival, the style of the residents of Wroclaw will be captured by the professionals with the studio Strop. 'This is a special show of street fashion, which will move to Instagram's "Wroclaw on the Oder", where a fashion gallery will be created! Simply walk up to the photographers' stand, encourages project coordinator.

The Oder River waterfront was revitalized in the section from the Piaskowy Bridge to Grunwaldzki Bridge. By the Academy of Fine Arts created was a space for the organization of events, along the river created were amphitheatre-like stairs and street furniture that facilitates rest. By the Gondola Pier perched Magdalena Abakanowicz's 'Birds,' and under the Pokoju Bridge appeared a safe passage that leads to the so-called city pouf. After the revitalization of the Oder, a passenger harbour and a waterfront for boats were created in this section. 'We strongly encourage everyone to explore the boulevard,' say Ostrowska and Skrzyński. - Thanks to the consultations, which we ran with the city's Municipal Investment Board, we know that friendly solutions, such as a ramp, provide access to the Oder to parents with children in prams, cyclists and people in wheelchairs.
