Three basic ECC 2016 volunteering programmes are available: event-oriented, long-term (Special Cultural Battalion) and digital. Prospective volunteers choose a suitable option while completing their application forms. The recruitment process is an ongoing one and will come to a close at the end of 2016. Having said that, the organisers need a lot of volunteers to serve the ECC commencement weekend (15-17 January 2016). Applications to take part in the commencement weekend will be accepted by 13 December, and the offer will disappear from the system afterwards.
Volunteers will be present throughout Wroclaw to take part in all events featured in the commencement programme (read more at "Awakening": ECC 2016 commencement programme), i.e. they will be present at the routes all four parades which are going to leave four different districts of Wroclaw and later walk past the National Forum of Music and BarBara, the ECC 2016 headquarters, before they finally reconvene in Rynek.
Applications are accepted regardless of the age. Everyone can be an ECC 2016 volunteer, no matter whether you are a teenager, an elderly person or a foreign visitor. Prospective participants will learn more about ECC during special training. Only after the training will they be able to take to the streets of Wroclaw to distribute leaflets and provide information on key events in 2016.
