A flight to Gran Canaria is the fifth connection on offer from travel agencies available for the summer season 2016 at the Wroclaw Airport. Previously announced destinations include Alicante and Barcelona (El Prat) in Spain and two Greek islands of Thassos and Lefkada.
"We're happy that our charter offer has been extended with new connections. The Canary Islands are becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination from Wroclaw. This is best evidenced by charter flights to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, flights to Tenerife available all year round from Ryanair, which launched the service in November last year," says Jarosław Sztucki, Marketing and Sales Director at the Wroclaw Airport.
Why Granaria is said to be a minuscule continent? The island is famous for golden and wide beaches that feature sand from the Sahara, exotic vegetation, beautiful pine woods and citrus orchards. Dominated by a snow-capped volcano, the island is surrounded with sandy dunes and scenic cliffs.
"All this contributes to Gran Canaria's unique climate. The variety of landscapes on the island is so amazing that it is suitable both for sunbathing fans and those who prefer active leisure. Additionally, Gran Canaria is known for agreeable temperatures throughout the year," says Jarosław Sztucki.
Right on the edge of picturesque dunes, Maspalomas is the best known beach in Gran Canaria. Adjacent to Maspalomas Playa del Ingles is located, a veritable kingdom of water skiing, surfing and windsurfing. The north and west coast of the island is popular with sailors and divers. Gran Canaria is also a great place for hiking and cycling trips.
The connection to Gran Canaria is on offer from Itaka Travel agency. It kicks off on 14 June 2016. Besides the Canary Islands, the summer of 2016 brings a variety of over 30 different charter destinations for travellers setting out for their holiday adventure from Wroclaw.
