The Christmas tree that will be lit on the Santa Clause day is already standing on the Market Square. This year, the 20 m high cone will be present for a shorter period than usual. The Christmas tree will disappear shortly before the inauguration of ECC 2016, which is being planned for mid-January.
As in the previous year, the Christmas tree is about 20 m high. The Christmas illumination will begin to glitter on the Market Square already this Friday during the fair opening ceremony, whereas other places will gain the Christmas atmosphere together with the Christmas tree on Santa Clause Day.
This will be the 8th edition of one of the most beautiful Christmas fairs. The Wroclaw Market Square will become a setting for the magical scenery once again. Amongst forest-smelling Christmas trees, the aroma of mulled wine and chocolate gingerbread cakes, visitors can expect plenty of attractions and surprises.
It is worth stressing that the Wroclaw Fair was included on the list of 12 most beautiful Christmas fairs that was published by the American ‘The Huffington Post’. The Wroclaw fair was ranked alongside beautiful and historical fairs such as the fair in Strasbourg, France, organised for 440 years, the famous fair in Frankfurt or in Nurnberg. The Wroclaw fair may be not so well-known, but it is not less beautiful and atmospheric than the most famous fairs in Europe.
However, the official ceremony will be preceded by huge preparations. The construction of the infrastructure of the fair will begin on the 12th of November. By clicking the link below, you can read about the things that can be found there.
