  3. By Train To Czech Mountains

Starting from May 1st, until the end of summer break, a train connection will be launched from Wrocław to Trutnov, operating on weekends and holidays. This means a direct summer connection to this picturesque town on Polish - Czech border, from which we may freely start off a journey around the Czech Republic, or visit the neighbouring Karkonosze Mountains, or the Adršpach Stone City. "Last year a direct connection to Trutnov was possible only from Jelenia Góra. This year we are launching one direct train from Wrocław" says Justyna Stachniewicz, the spokesperson for Koleje Dolnośląskie. This is a typical tourist offer: the train leaves Wrocław early in the morning, at 5:45 AM (arriving in Trutnov at 8:50), and a return train from the Czech Republic leaves at 19:29, and reaches Wrocław at 22:12. A ticket to Czech border is 22 PLN, and then a ticket at the Czech carrier needs to be bought at 28 CZK, i.e. ca. 5 PLN.
