Luxoft has been present on the Wroclaw market since 2012. It co-operates with giants of the banking industry, such as Credit Suisse or Deutsche Bank. The company grows so quickly that it had to rent another office in Wroclaw.

"We had our own address at ul. Rzeźnicza and we met our customers there, but our programmers have worked in our business partners’ offices until recently. Now we have modified our policy and we have our own office. We chose Silver Tower Center, because this building has good transport connections with other parts of the city. Our new office is situated near the city centre and the central railway station", says Wojciech Mach, Managing Director of Luxoft Poland.

Luxsoft employs over 8,300 persons in Poland. One third of them works in Wroclaw and the rest works in Kraków. This year the company has already employed 200 programmers in the capital of Lower Silesia and is planning to engage further 100 programmers in the next few months.

"We are looking for experienced programmers, but we also invite university graduates to gain experience in our company. A command of English at least on a conversational level is required", says Artur Górecki, Site Manager of Luxoft.

Luxoft operates in Central & Eastern Europe, including Ukraine and Bulgaria, and in Asia and North America. It was established in 1995.

Wroclaw – an IT city

The development of Luxoft’s ITO (IT outsourcing) centre in Wroclaw is another example of a successful investment in the sector of modern business services in the capital of Lower Silesia. Today, according to ABSL’s data, Wroclaw is the 3rd location of this sector in Poland in terms of the number of employees (21,500).

"We are happy that the investors who are already present in Wroclaw, such as Luxoft, choose further dynamic development in our city. The number of good jobs in the IT industry that require advanced knowledge is still growing in Lower Silesia. This year Wroclaw was included once again in Tholons’ report listing 100 leading world locations for investments in the sector of modern business services. The specialisation of Wroclaw as an IT and R&D centre attracting major global companies is strengthening", summarises Dariusz Ostrowski, President of the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency (Agencja Rozwoju Aglomeracji Wrocławskiej).

Between April 2013 and April 2014, the growth of employment in the sector of business services in Wroclaw amounted to 10-15% on the average. A number of prestigious brands, such as BNY Mellon, EY, Google, HP or Siemens, decided to make an investment in Wroclaw.
